“Why So Shy?” grew from thinking about the parts of us that are not ready to step into the light right away. The parts that grow more slowly, more quietly, hidden from view.
While layering images, the body, and organic elements, I kept returning to the feeling of wanting to be seen and protected at the same time. In this work, nature is not just an environment — it is a space where change is allowed to happen without explanation.
The snake appeared as a symbol of change that arrives quietly, without a dramatic moment. A reminder that transformation often begins in phases that look like withdrawal, but are actually growth.
Each layer is built by hand, intuitively, like assembling an inner landscape that does not need to be fully understood — only truthful
“There is a moment when hiding is not fear —
but a way of becoming.”
